Erekle

Erekle is a music lover and vinyl collector from Tbilisi, Georgia. His connection with music started in early childhood, listening to his favorite rock bands on a reel-to-reel tape recorder, which shaped his music-listening culture. His introduction to electronic music happened in 2000, when a friend gave him the Matt Darey Pure Euphoria CD compilation. After listening to it, he realized this music was for him, and a new stage of musical development began in his life. He got into the golden age of progressive house and trance during the 2000s, listened to many radio shows, went to clubs, and critically evaluated DJ mixes. In 2004, Âme’s Mifune / Shiro EP and their self-titled CD album, released on Sonar Kollektiv, became his first steps into House and Deep House music.

This continued for years as a listener, collector, and audiophile, but he lived, felt, and searched like a DJ. After regularly playing at closed parties for friends, he recorded his first mix, Groove Mix 01, and uploaded it to Mixcloud. Currently, he is the founder of the independent Mtveri FM Radio and the author of the radio shows Vinyl Sessions (regular), Spotify Weekly (weekly), and Groove Mix Sessions (monthly).
